sad.

i was reading through the comment on ajc.com about whether lawrenceville’s resident nazi should be deported or not.

here is what makes me sad. how can anybody use THE HOLOCAUST as a vehicle to make a point about mexican chicken farmers and construction farmers (this is for all the idiots who made comments about ‘if we deport him, let’s deport all the mexicans’ comments.) or conversely, how can anyone use THE HOLOCAUST to take pot-shots at don rumsfeld and dick cheney (this is for those who make the ‘if we deport him, let’s deport real war criminals like chaney and rumsfeld.’)

let me be clear about this – dick cheney, don rumsfeld and illegal mexican immigrants did not participate in the systematic murder of 6 million jews.

god it makes me sad how cheap the memory of what happened only 65 years ago has become where people are using it to score political points.
